Life Income Gift

As a charity minded person you have a real advantage over others. You have available to you a gift arrangement that is reliable and predictable and comes with an excellent payment rate. These plans ensure you and your survivor an income for life as well as substantial tax savings. You can typically convert low-yielding assets into a higher income stream. You transfer assets to the plan now, and we receive the remainder after the income beneficiary’s lifetime.

Charitable Gift Annuity
Fund with cash, securities or other assets.
  • The gift annuity is based on a simple proposition – you make a gift of cash or securities to Southern Illinois Healthcare and in return we agree to provide you with fixed payments for life.
  • You receive fixed payments for life without investment worries or the need for a trust.
  • A gift annuity brings you a variety of tax and income benefits.

Charitable Remainder Trust
You select an asset (cash, securities, other assets) that will be a future gift to Southern Illinois Healthcare. Transfer ownership of the asset to the CRT, which owns and manages it for a specified period of time. While the CRT holds the asset, it pays you income. At the end of the trust term, the CRT transfers the assets to us.
  • You receive payments of a fixed or variable amount for the life of the trust depending on the type of trust you select.

Charitable Lead Trust
Under the terms of a charitable lead trust, assets are transferred to a trust that pays income to Southern Illinois Healthcare for the number of years you determine. At the end of that period, the assets are returned to you or transferred to others you name.
  • The lead trust is a very flexible plan and can be one of the few ways to control exactly when an inheritance is received, while reducing or eliminating taxes and probate expense that might otherwise be due on assets left to children, grandchildren, or others.
