Imaging Department
a service of Herrin Hospital

The imaging department at Miners Memorial Health Center provides mammography (films read with R2 Image Checker), bone density testing (with NEW Hologic bone densitometer=faster scans), ultrasound and general x-ray services.

Hours are:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Laboratory
a service of Herrin Hospital

This is a full service lab with convenient hours. Test results are automatically faxed directly to the physician that ordered the test. Reports are delivered in a timely fashion. Both physicians and patients can bring in orders for lab work.

Hours are:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Physician Specialty Clinic
a service of Herrin Hospital

The health center has a Specialty Clinic that offers services of visiting specialty physicians including:

• Pulmonology
• Cardiology
• Pediatric Cardiology
• Urology
• Podiatry
• Nephrology

Hours are:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Physicians providing services at our facilities are independent contractors with privileges to admit and care for patients at our facilities.

West Frankfort Family Medicine
a service of Memorial Hospital of Carbondale

Offers a full range of family medicine physicians and Physician Assistants from SIU School of Medicine, as well as counseling and visiting specialty physicians. Located inside Miners Memorial Health Center.

Physicians providing services at West Frankfort Family Medicine are employees of Southern Illinois University's School of Medicine and have privileges to admit and care for patients at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
