SIH Senior Advantage has active members that look forward to traveling. Listed below are a few of the upcoming trips. All trips require advance registration and are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of passengers is not met. Butterfly House, Arch and Lunch on “The Hill” St. Louis, MO
Thursday, May 31
Travelers will start their day in a beautiful garden inhabited by more than a thousand live tropical butterflies at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Then we’ll take a relaxing break at Zia’s on “The Hill” for lunch. After lunch we will visit the St. Louis Arch where you will have the choice of one of three activities: taking the tram to the top of the arch, viewing the Lewis and Clark film or watching a documentary of how the arch was constructed. Your visit will also include enough time for you to browse the Museum of Westward Expansion and the Arch’s gift shop. The trip includes admission to the butterfly house, lunch, admission to one Arch event, and transportation. Some walking will be required.

The Sound of Music-The Little Theater on the Square Sullivan, IL

Have you ever been to the “Little Theater”? If not, you shouldn’t miss this trip. If you have, thank you for requesting a return visit to see another fabulously professional performance at this quaint theater. This classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical never goes out of style. We will also return to the Old School Essenhouse for shopping and lunch. Tickets, transportation and lunch are included. A small amount of walking is required.

The Carl Hurley Show - Kentucky Opry Draffenville, KY

Who is Carl Hurley? He is a standup country comedian who uses good down home humor to make us laugh about every day situations. He is hilarious and is only in our area for one performance. The trip will include a stop at Grand Rivers, KY, for shopping at Patti’s 1880 Settlement and dining at Bill’s. Dinner will include your choice of Patti’s famous 1” pork chop, a chicken dish or a fish entre. It will be a late night, so rest up the day before. Cost includes dinner, tickets, and transportation. A moderate amount of walking required.

Hannibal & St. Charles, MO - Two Day Trip
Wednesday-Thursday, September 26-27, 2007
This two-day trip is packed full of good food and fun. We’ll start in historic St. Charles, Missouri, where we will have lunch, some time for shopping, and exploring this historical town on the river. After checking into our hotel and freshening up, we will gather for dinner, and will be entertained through the music and comedy of the Spratt Family. On the second day, after a hot breakfast, travelers will explore the boyhood home of Mark Twain, cruise the mighty Mississippi on the Mark Twain Riverboat, dine at Lula Belle's, and enjoy a performance of “Mark Twain Himself”. Our return trip home will include a stop at the St. Clair Food Court for a meal on your own before returning home that evening. This trip includes lodging, transportation, all admission fees, and four meals. A fair amount of walking will be required.

Cancellation and payment policy for SIH trips: Reservations are required. Payment may be made at any time as long as it is received by Senior Advantage prior to the cancellation deadline. If the cancellation is after the deadline date, a refund is not issued unless another member can fill the individual’s seat. It is the responsibility of the SIH Senior Advantage member to notify the SIH Senior Advantage office at least 2 weeks prior to the cancellation deadline when he or she has a special need which will require special accommodations in order to allow them to travel. After appropriate notification, all reasonable efforts will be made by the senior membership program manager to accommodate the needs of the traveler.
