What if I become interested in a different job that I did not originally apply for, within the course of the three months that my application is on file?
You will need to complete a new application.
What happens to my employment application after submission?
If you meet the minimum requirements for the job you applied, your application will be sent to the hiring manager for further review. Hiring managers schedule their own interviews. If you are contacted for an interview you will be contacted in approximately 2-4 weeks (note: this time period could be shorter or longer depending on the hiring manager's schedule). Your application will stay active for a period of 90 days from the date you originally applied. Questions regarding the status of your application should be directed to the Employment Office, not the hiring manager.
Will I receive some type of acknowledgement from SIH?
Yes, you will receive a postcard from the Employment Office to notify you that your application has been processed, or if additional information is needed from you before it can be processed.
Where can I find out more information regarding the position I applied for?
If you are selected for an interview you will be given more information about the job at that time, regarding hours, salary, etc.
Do I need to apply for a job that is currently posted?
Yes, we will only accept applications for open positions. All applicants should review the openings and list the job number of interest on their applications/resumes and cover letters.
